Tailor Workshop
in the SKILLS FACTORY on Samos
In our sewing department community members explore and develop their passion for sewing and tailoring. We exchange technical knowledge, different sewing techniques and traditional knowledge to produce clothes and other textiles that are directly needed in the camp and around the island.
Our work in the tailor workshop includes:
- Planning, design and manufacture of clothing for children, women and men in the refugee camp
- Repairs and adjustments of defective clothing
- Mass production of fabric carrier bags for the free clothing shop of our partner organization
- Recycling of fabric scraps and defective clothing donations
